β οΈ Keyboard Required:
This test uses Z and V keys (not mobile-friendly)
Click/tap the test area to begin.
You'll see 5 arrows:
β β β β β
or
β β β β β
or mixed patterns.
Your task:
Respond only to the
center (middle) arrow
direction.
Press
Z
if the center arrow points left (β).
Press
V
if the center arrow points right (β).
Ignore the surrounding arrows!
They are distractors designed to test your focus.
Congruent trials:
All arrows point the same way (easier):
β β β β β
Incongruent trials:
Side arrows point opposite to the center (harder):
β β β β β
Press
Esc

The test measures sustained attention, interference control, and the Flanker Effect (RT difference between congruent and incongruent trials).
A smaller Flanker Effect indicates better cognitive control and the ability to ignore distractions.
